Academy of Ambition SPF Skills Development Project Smashes Expectations in Wrexham
Updated: May 15

Our 'Academy of Ambition' UKSPF skills development project in Wrexham County has successfully completed and has exceeded all expectations and targets.
In 18 months, including our previous SPF skills project, we’ve delivered skills development to over 380 people and students in Wrexham, well beyond our projected numbers.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. And thanks to our fantastic team for all your efforts.
Since September 2025:
151 professionals and entrepreneurs have participated in our skills courses, including 43 start up founders
136 apprentices and sixth form students have taken part in programmes to develop employment and life skills
+87 is our final net promoter score, a great endorsement!
1 'Next Generation' Wrexham Business & Community Award was won for our skills project (awards photo credited to Mike at Lucky Shot Creative).
Our aim with this project was to make skills development accessible to as many people as possible. So we delivered sessions in Redwither Tower, in Caia Park, at Wrexham Football Academy, at Morgan Llwyd School, and at The Maelor School, Penley.
And we held evening programmes which were well attended by those who couldn't attend during the work day.
And we worked with some great Wrexham people on this project.
