We're proud to announce that The Uncommon Practice won the "Next Generation Award" at the Wrexham Business and Community Awards on Friday 21st November 2025 for our 'Academy of Ambition' skills project in Wrexham and for our work developing our trainee accountants.

Congratulations and thank you to our fantastic team for all your efforts. This recognition is richly deserved.

By the end of March 2026, we will have delivered our professional skills training modules to well over 300 local employees, high school students, start up founders, entrepreneurs, business owners, and sole traders, thanks to a big team effort but also thanks to the support of some fantastic local people and organisations.

Thank you to everyone across Wrexham and the wider region who has supported our professional skills training programmes over the last 18 months.

We appreciate you all.

Events like Friday night don't happen without people going above and beyond.

Massive congratulations and thanks to the whole WBCA team for putting on another fantastic event for the benefit of Wrexham's businesses and community groups.

We're delighted to be based in Wrexham and we're excited to keep playing our part - whether through our strategic accountancy support or professional skills development - for the benefit of all of our local businesses and communities.

Our 'Academy of Ambition' SPF project is still running in Wrexham County and we have some 'Essential Professional Skills' and 'Advanced Professional Skills' programmes starting over the next few weeks and months.

If you live or work in Wrexham and would like to take advantage of these free programmes, please follow us to stay up to date with course dates.

Due to demand, we have had to put on some extra programmes in the new year!
